WASHINGTON, DC- Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-CA) and Congressman Michael McCaul (R-TX) introduce bipartisan legislation to improve and advance the treatment of childhood cancer survivors.

WASHINGTON, DC --    Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) and Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), co-chairs of the Childhood Cancer Caucus, applaud House passage of H.R. 1852, the Children’s Hospital Graduate Medical Education (CHGME) Support Reauthorization Act, sponsored by Rep. Joseph Pitts (R-PA). 

The House Childhood Cancer Caucus hosted its Second Annual Childhood Cancer Summit on September 23, 2011 on Capitol Hill. The Summit featured a panel discussion entitled "The Future of Childhood Cancer Drug Development", which  addressed the current state of drug development, access to clinical trials and the changes which could spur progress in these fields.  Actor Dennis Quaid also delivered a message during this year's Summit.

Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) and Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) introduced H.Res. 262, Supporting efforts to raise awareness, improve education, and encourage research and treatment of the psychosocial needs of children diagnosed with a childhood cancer.
